As a craftsman, I am the designer and maker of unique objet d'art and furnishings for personal spaces be it your home or office. My standards of work are simple: unique design, fine execution, and always created in an eco-friendly manner. I have been fortunate to have my works exhibited in fine establishments such as the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino BC and the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet BC. From such premier resorts my works have been purchased for private collections or as a personal indulgence. From these premier resorts or directly from my studio my artistic works have been shipped to locations from New York city to Tasmania .
Be-it furnishings or sculptural pieces, my creative works have the effect of connecting with patrons at a visceral level; touching something deep inside. Terms used to describe my work often include: passionate, poetic, sensuous, soothing, fluid, a feast for the eyes and mind. My carvings and cabinet making surpass transient trends and styles; they are timeless in classic contemporary beauty, and bring with them a soothing presence that fits seamlessly into any architectural style. Each and every piece that I make, is as environmentally friendly as possible, from sourcing the materials as locally as possible to using the most eco-friendly finish that's available today.

I have always found kitchen cabinets rather boring, but when one adds a free-standing cabinet or unfitted kitchen cabinet in the mix, the kitchen dynamics change. Here is a kitchen cabinet that sits at the end of the peninsula in the kitchen. Made of cherry with vertical grain fir drawer fronts. The drawer fronts are adorned with a hand carved sapling tree, the limbs terminating with spun drawer handles. A cabinet such as this could fit comfortably in virtually any room in a house, and used for a variety of purposes. Size and shape can be adjusted to fit personal needs.
I have made these small artistic pieces for years. These Whimsical Hearts are the perfect gift for that special person or that meaningful occasion where a gift would be appropriate.
